COVID-19 Changes

Starting Wednesday March 18th, we will have new procedures in place as specified below.  We do not know how long the procedures will remain in effect, and we may need to make changes as the COVID-19 situation continues to unfold.  To provide the most protection against transmission of COVID-19, Creature Comforts is now operating under restricted entry. Please read through all of this information prior to coming to see us


CCVH is now providing friendly curb-side service!  

We are following the guidelines and recommendations for Montgomery County, PA by Governor Wolf, the Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, the AVMA and PVMA.

  • We will ask that you remain in your car for all visits.  Only your pet will be permitted in the building (see below for more information).  Euthanasia appointments will be handled on a case-by-case basis - please call us directly.

  • If you have an emergency, call us immediately or proceed directly to the nearest Emergency Hospital (Metropolitan Veterinary Associates 610-666-1050 or VSEC 484-567-7999).

  • For non-urgent appointments, if you or anyone in your household is not feeling well, please reschedule the appointment.

  • If your pet is not well, and you or anyone in your household is not feeling well, please ask a non-affected friend to bring your pet for the appointment.  The doctor or nurse will speak to you on the phone.  

  • Non-essential appointments will not be scheduled at this time.  This includes nail trims and boosters not required for boarding. Please call us to determine if your pet’s service is essential.

Our doctors and staff will give you their full attention via phone!

  • Please arrive with your cell phone charged and available so that the doctor can call you, and have your credit card accessible. We cannot take cash or check payments at this time.

  • You will not be able to come inside our hospital. Our lobby is closed. Please call us from your car as soon as you arrive for your appointment.

  • We will take your credit card information over the phone but will wait to process charges until the end of your appointment.

  • Please stay in your car until a staff member comes to get your pet.  All cats must be in carriers, and all dogs must be leashed.  Dog owners may be asked to walk their pet into the building and then return to the car.

  • Once your pet is inside, we will call your cell phone. Please be prepared to answer an unfamiliar or blocked number.

  • The technician will take a history as we normally would.  The doctor will go over everything with you and answer all your questions as you would normally expect in your appointment. Please ask the doctor if you have any questions about costs.  We are happy to go over everything with you.  Once your pet’s care is complete, we will process your charges.

  • As soon as your medications, food or any other supplies are ready, we will bring your pet, supplies and receipt to you outside.  

If you need refills of food or medications:

  • Please do not stop in to get refills without calling first.  You will not be able to come inside our hospital. Our lobby is closed.  

  • Please call ahead and leave a message on our refill line or with the receptionist.  If you stop in without calling, it will result in an inconveniently long wait for you.

  •  When your order is ready, we will call to let you know as soon as we can.  We will take payment at that time, so please have your credit card available

  • When you arrive to pick up your order, please call from your car and we will bring the order out to you.

  • If your pet needs medication or prescription diet refills and you are ill or prefer not to come to the clinic, the refill can be ordered through our online pharmacy 

    .
